This is your community and the AACFIS your foundation Optimistically Yours Josh Tatgn, AACF Boand Chair RUTH MCDONALD AWARD IN PHILANTHROPY RECIPIENTS While we were unable to celebrate philanthropy at our annual celebration this past May, we would like to recognize Jeanne Batesole and Vern & Judy Anderson as this year's Ruth McDonald Award in Philanthropy recipients. We will all gather in the future and celebrate their contributions to our community. Congratulations Jeanne and Vern & Judyl Jeanne Batesole Vern & Judy Anderson Jeanne Batesole's love for Alexandria comes from her Vern Anderson, co founder and previous President & CEO of Douglas Machine and Douglas Scientific, and his wife Judy have been married for 57 years and late husband Virgil who grew up on Lake L'Homme Dieu. After retiring in 1990 and moving to the area, Jeanne decided the best way to get to know people was by becoming involved. Jeanne has served such local organizations as the Alexandria Technical and have lived in Alexandria since 1966. They have served our community througha number of organizations including the Unity Foundation, Douglas County Community College, Douglas County Historical YMCA and the Northstar Christian Academy and Sports Complex, We are pleased to present the Ruth McDonald Award in Philanthropy to Vern and Judy as a thank you to their commitment to the Alexandria community. Society and Theatre L'Homme Dieu. Jeanne has also been an active member of Lakes Area Professional Women and in 2010 she was recognized with their Spirit of Philanthropy Award.
