HONORING OUR LOCAL VETERANS A joint effort between the Echo Press, Douglas County Veterans Services and Hedine Jewelers to salute military members in our community DAVE COMPTON * He was born in Endicott, NY then moved to Michigan when he was 1 2 years old. * After he graduated from high school in 1958, he decided to join the marines, and serve 4 years. * He served as pastor at a three-congregation parish for 18 years and one of the congregations for an additional three years. After serving another congregation for eight years he retired in 2017. * He joined the Marine Corp Detachment 1409 in November of 2018 where he is devoted to donating his time, money, and encouragement for the wellbeing of our communities.
