Whitmore-Slater Insurance agency has been in business since 1913, when Burt Whitmore opened up shop in downtown Montevideo. In the 1950's his son, Bruce took over the business and ran it until 1980, when Galen Slater, Bruce's son-in-law, started in the business. We are an independent insurance agency that will shop for the best coverage for the lowest prices.
