About

Ezekiel Lutheran Church is a community of God’s people confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, responding in faith to the call of the Holy Spirit, and participating in God’s mission in the world. God’s mission is identified in the Gospel of John (3:16): “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Through the loving life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are made a new creation. In the waters of baptism we are incorporated into Christ and his body, the church. We are called at Ezekiel, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to reach out to those within our church, as well as those outside our church, with the good news of God’s love, welcoming people into the fellowship of the church, nurturing them in following Jesus Christ, and helping them to find their place of ministry and service. In response to God’s love in Christ, the Ezekiel Congregation acts with compassion and service to meet human needs beyond our doors through a number of local ministries, mission projects and outreach programs, bringing restoration, healing and peace in Jesus’ name. Ezekiel is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the ELCA’s Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. We are 1,200 to 1,300 members strong, with a rich tradition dating back to 1890, and are committed to serving the River falls area as well as all of God’s creation. We welcome you to join us in giving thanks and praise to God; serving God’s mission in Christ together in the joy of the Spirit!
