Heartland Industries provides day training and habilitation services to people with developmental disabilities and or related conditions, seeks to enhance the lives of people through support, skill training, and guidance in finding and maintaining employment.

As operators of Heartland Industries, Mike and Barb Hillenbrand have 43 years of combined experience working with people with disabilities. Their expertise has been drawn from being foster parents for three gentlemen for five years. They have also gained wisdom through their work experiences in the areas of Human Services as Job Coaches, Program Coordinators in Supported Living Settings, In-Home support services, nursing, and staff training.
